Antenatal Advice
If you think you may be pregnant then you can take an at home pregnancy test. These can be bought in many supermarkets, pharmacies, or local shops.
If you receive a positive test result then you can contact the Early Access Service based at The Liverpool Women's Hospital on 0151 247 4747. They will be able to give you an antenatal appointment and guide you on the next steps.
If you require an interpreter then please contact the surgery reception on 0151 317 6266 and our referral team will be more than happy to refer you to the antenatal services and arrange an interpreter.
Once your pregnancy has been confirmed via the hospital you can ask our reception team for a Maternity Exemption Form. You must fill out your details then hand the form back to our reception team. Following this our GP will sign and post the form on your behalf. This form helps with NHS costs such as paying for prescriptions.
Our community midwife provides a weekly clinic in our surgery. Currently this is running on a Monday afternoon. You can contact our reception on 0151 317 6266 to book an appointment.
